Vital Sign Check
This includes taking your blood pressure and monitoring your heart and respiratory rates. Depending on your history, your blood pressure should be checked at least once a year to once every three years.
Visual Examination
Your doctor will examine you for signs of any possible future conditions. They will examine the parts of your body that may visually imply any illnesses. This involves examining the following: head, eyes, chest, adbomen, hand wrists and speech.
Pelvic and rectal examination
Females should have their pelvic examinations performed on an examining table with stirrups. Rectal examination and occult blood testing should be performed concurrently. Rectal examinations in males are best performed with the patient bent forward.
